Bomdila itself may be a small settlement, the views it provides will simply leave you breathless. Located at an elevation of around 2,415 metres above sea level in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, it is among the most picturesque stopovers in the journey to Tawang.

The apple orchards in Bomdila are a treat to see in their full glory during the harvesting season, and visiting the local market can help you pick up some unique handmade products of Arunachal Pradesh and Tibet, along with woollen shawls. The Tipi Orchid Research Centre is another must-visit attraction near Bomdila; this centre, which is situated around 15 km from Bomdila, has several hundred varieties of orchids in its collection.
March to October is the best time to visit Bomdila.
